All courses take place in the dance studio at Hohlstrasse 502 in Zurich-Altstetten. The studio can also be rented by the hour or by half a day.
Directions:
The studio is located on the 1st floor at Hohlstrasse 502 in Zurich. The entrance is not on the street side but on the side of the train tracks. Ring the doorbell for “Tanzstudio Sharmila Rao”, the stairs in the stairwell leading directly to the studio entrance.
If you come by train: The Altstetten train station is only a 5-minute walk away. When you get off the train, go to platform 2. Walk to the end of the platform towards the Europabrücke (a car bridge that goes over the train tracks). At the end of the platform, continue walking under the bridge. On your right is the Socar petrol station. Walk ahead and across the commercial parking lot.
If you come by car, white parking spaces are right next to the building. The parking meter only takes coins. Cashless payment is possible using the SBB P+Rail app. You can reach these parking spaces (green circles in the picture) by turning off Hohlstrasse into Letzibachweg (landmark: Socar petrol station, directly below Europabrücke) and driving into a large commercial parking lot (see red arrows in the picture).

Transport & Parking
The studio is very centrally located and easily accessible. Zurich-Altstetten train station is just a 5-minute walk from the studio, with very frequent connections in all directions. The bus stop is in front of the building and is called “Letzibach”, where buses 31, 83 stop.
Parking:
There are numerous white parking spaces directly in front of the building. They can be conveniently paid for with the SBB P&R app and extended at any time.

Premises & Equipement
The dance studio has the size of 90 square meters. It has tilting windows that can also be darkened. The studio has an entrance area with shoe racks and hooks for jackets and coats. The entrance area is carpeted so that you can enter the studio also with wet shoes at any time. In the rear area there is a cloakroom with a mirror and additional hooks. The bathroom is equipped with toilet and shower. There is a coffee machine and a small refrigerator, in which cold drinks or snacks can be stored until they are consumed.
The studio also has:
- Three large dance mirrors (over 3 meters long)
- Special oak dance parquet
- 2 active speakers (700 watts)
- Various teaching materials such as yoga mats, exercise balls, Terabands, etc.
- Wi-Fi
Rental Details
Commercial & Non-commercial
The studio can be rented by the hour or half a day. The tariffs are:
- 1 hour non-commercial (rehearsals): CHF 20.-
- 1 hour commercial (course with paying participants): CHF 40.-
- Half day (6 hours) non-commercial: CHF 100.-
- Half day commercial: 200.-
