Annual student performance by Sharmila Rao’s students. Children from 4 years to adults show Indian dance Bharat Natyam.
Around 50 students, from young to senior of the Sharmila Rao Dance School, will show what they have learned in the past year. It will be a diversified program, with traditional pieces and, for the first time, semi-classical dance interludes.
A guest school visits us this year, enriching our program with their contributions. Tandra Chakraborty Sanyal runs the Kathak dance school «Taal-O-Nritya» in Glattbrugg and kindly accepted my invitation. I am happy that she participates in our performance with her students and allows our schools to exchange ideas and get to know other dance styles.
All visitors are invited to get treated by Smitha Shirish and her Spicy Spoon cuisine. Before, during, and after the performance, boxes with salty and sweet snacks are offered, accompanied by drinks, all at very affordable prices.
As always, the performance is free of charge; donating at the event’s end will be possible. With the money collected, the performance expenses will be covered. Since the number of seats is limited, it is recommended to register on eventfrog.ch. Children only need to be registered if they need their own seat.
